As a DJ Michael Rütten represents the original old school freestyle approach. A little bit of Paradise Garage & The Loft vibe mixed up with the here and now. Its the tune that counts, not the genre. If it‘s good, you will hear it on soulsearching and in his unique eclectic and improvised DJ sets. It's all about the atmosphere and going with the flow.
Lately Michael Rütten has also been teaming up with well known drummer Oli Rubow for improvised DJ x Live Drumming sets. An extension of eclectic DJ sets, all about energy and sudden synergy. Uniting acoustic and electronic elements, sweat and funk, teamwork being right there in the moment!

Seit 2022 bildet Rütten zusammen mit Oli Rubow das DJ x Live Drumming Duo Rütten & Rubow. Hierbei geht es um gutes Teamwork, aber auch um Interaktion, um die spontane Improvisation, die zu einem einzigartigen Ergebnis führt. Es geht um Konserven und das Hinzufügen des menschlichen Faktors, es geht um die Vereinigung von akustischem und elektronischem Ansatz, gerne mit Schweiß und Funk (im Gegensatz zu Kraftwerks Ideal dieser Verschmelzung), es geht um den Moment, es geht um Energie!
